Pulp detective novel. Loved it. :) Dames are always going to give Ed Noon trouble. Including ones who hire him.

Anyone fortunate enough to listen to old time radio and hear and enjoy Dick Powell as Richard Rogue or Richard Diamond or Marlowe is going to enjoy this book. As the story unfolds you find that when the protagonist is narrating it's Dick Powell that you hear. The story is well written and has surprises along the way that keep you going. An enjoyable read all the way around, especially with Dick Powell narrating.

I thought it'd be difficult to get into a noir novel, but the story and dialogue piqued my interest fairly quickly. Overall, a fun story to read, but I don't plan on completing the series.
