the ending was even more beautiful than i was anticipating. apollo/lester's development through the series HOLY SHIT it's like you can't recognize the man anymore. i love that he went and visited everyone, it was such a nice way to wrap up the series. i loved seeing everyone again!

will & nico <3 can't wait to read the sun and the star.

overall, while it takes immense patience to get through book 1&2, i'm so happy with how this series turned out.

It has finally happened. I finally finished The Trials of Apollo! I guess the release of The Sun and the Star was a swift kick in my butt to finally sit down and read (say goodbye to) the final installment of Apollo.

I think as a whole this book was a great conclusion. There was constant movement and action. But also moments where there was reflection. From Apollo himself but also from the characters around him. They finally seemed to see how much he has grown. I mean I wish the actual ending had more on how the god Apollo changed and what he kept and what needed to go from Lester. But overal it was a fine conclusion.

There are moments where I wished we could look into Megs head however. She clearly needed to work through a lot of things, returning to Nero and those others that she grew up. And it was kind of there but so distant because Apollo and Meg don't do much of the heart to heart. And I kind of wish that we could have gotten more of that.

I loved the love that Apollo has garnered, how everyone, at the end of it, seemed to have embraced him as a person. His relationship with his children is rather amusing.
