I was so excited when I saw this ARC pop up on my kindle! I've previously read Cali Melle's books and was ready to dive into this one! Simon and Stella's story was so cute! I loved how much he cared for her and let her figure out what she needed to in order for them to move forward. There was a great amount of spice and great communication from the MMC, which is always a plus!

I was provided this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

"Fuck everyone else, Stella. You do what makes you happy and one day your soul will find the one that complements it."

Simon Murray and Stella Barrett had a connection and always flirted with each other, but neither took it seriously, besides Stella had a boyfriend. When Stella saw her boyfriend and best friend sleeping together, she promptly left and went back home to Vermont. Her brother, Sterling, offered to let her move into his place since he was moving out, but he didn’t live alone — he had roommates: Simon and a Lincoln.

Simon had to leave for hockey camp in Canada and asked Stella to go with him. Stella decided to find herself over the summer, so when Simon offered, she accepted.

Simon was a total sweetheart. He was a hot hockey player, yet he wasn’t a f*ckboy and he stood up for Stella when her brother was an a**hole to her. He listened to Stella’s wants and needs and was constantly there for her.

Stella was so tough. She got back on her feet after her troubled teenage years and did her own thing even though it wasn’t what her family wanted. She took risks and tried to find what would make her happy.

The spice? Wheeew, that was great

This book had its merits, but it didn't captivate me in the way I had hoped. Although I hadn't read the previous books in the series, the plotlines were briefly introduced. However, I noticed a recurring similarity among them. For me, the chemistry between the two main characters wasn't there. Furthermore, the plot failed to hold my interest. It seemed to tread familiar ground, lacking originality.

After finding her boyfriend and best friend are sIeeping together, Stella Barrett returns home to Vermont. She plans to spend the summer on a journey to find herself and map out a path to her future.

Simon Murray has his eye on the prize: being drafted to the NHL. That includes a spot at a highly sought-after hockey camp for the summer. Stella’s strong demeanor and sad eyes speak to him in a way that was unexpected and before he knows it’s, they’re sharing an apartment for the summer.

Coast to Coast is a story of life, love, and leaning into your fears.

I really loved Simon and his willingness to put it all on the line. Stella frustrated me a bit, but they were a perfect match and one of my favorite Wyncote couples.

Unfortunately, this one just didn't really work for me. Considering it's less than 200 pages, it took me so long to get through it. I feel like the annoying older friend/sister/whatever that just screams at the FMC that she's barely lived (the FMC is maybe 19) and how she needs to get over herself. Then the other side of me gets that her life has been hard for her and I feel bad being annoyed at her. I wish I could say I enjoyed this more than I did because I've really enjoyed other books by this author. But this one just wasn't for me.

super quick + fun read — finished it in a few hours. wasn’t a bad book, but it should’ve been just a little bit longer so the relationship / character development didn’t feel as rushed.
