This was horribly written and even with the audio it was bad. Whoever voiced the characters couldn't do an Irish accent or say certain words correctly.
The plot was exciting to start with but then the lack of character dialogue showed its flaws. I found the scenes boring and dull and honestly. Felt it was a BDB wannabe. Meh...

Honestlly, I scored this as a free deal on Kindle. I really thought it was going to be a bust and I wasted my time downloading it. Like most things go with that, I THOUGHT when I started it, it would boring and dull. It was, however, vastly different. I enjoyed it immensely, as there were no dull ruts or boring pieces.

Addicting!

This book was such a fun read! It put a fun twist on the vampire world and kept me wanting more! It was addicting and hard to put down. I have found myself getting bored of books with bad plots and overkill the romance, but this book had a GREAT balance. It has great action and even better chemistry between the main characters. I look forward to the other books in the series and love that this book didn’t end on an awful cliffhanger. More like, hope for more character and plot development.

I really really wanted to like this. I thought I would as I like dark romance. And the story itself is pretty entertaining. I'm just saying I'd have enjoyed it a lot more if the writing style didn't bother me as much.

The worst thing is probably the changes in POV from one paragraph to the next. One moment we're seeing things from Ronan's pov and the next is Kadence's. It's incredibly confusing and it bothered my reading experience. How am I supposed to enjoy a book when I have to understand who is talking every few lines? It just doesn't feel smooth.

Other minor problems
- no clear chapter endings. Some chapter were cut in the middle of a conversation and for no purpose at all
- the scenes are slightly confusing and I couldn't really visualize what was going on
- very convenient. Just every single thing that happens is very convenient.
- not much depth when it comes to the characters.

It's very much a cookie-cutter, run-of-the-mill vampire PNR romance story with not much originality but that doesn't mean it's bad or not enjoyable to read when you're in the mood.
