3.7✨|5 :: This is my second book read by this particular author and I really like the pace of things. I also like how the chapters are listed as the date so we get a better sense of the timeline. This book is also a reminder as to why I don’t trust anyone - not even myself at times

This might have been better to read rather than listen. I thought it was good, but listening to someone read time stamps out loud is quite annoying. I definitely didn't like it as much as Behind Closed Doors.

Wow! I think I liked this one even more than Behind Closed Doors! Wow. That was a RIDE! I read one half last night and the other half tonight. It was such a fast read. I had to know what happened! LOVED all the twists and turns. I was trying to figure it out, had it at one point, then wasn’t sure, then was convinced of something else. So good.

I found myself annoyed with Cass the majority of the book. Like if you’re going psycho over a unknown caller- CHANGE YOUR NUMBER!! I pretty much had the ending figured out early on, but it was good enough to have me read on any way.

This is exactly my brand of psychological thriller! I personally struggle with memory issues so this tapped into my worst fear and magnified it tenfold.

Be aware going in that this is a deliberately difficult read. You'll simultaneously feel for the heroine while also feeling like *you're* losing it yourself. It's frustrating and distressing and an absolute mindfuck!

I can't say much more without spoiling it, but PLEASE pick up this book if you like a narrator being forced to question their own sanity. I constantly questioned where the story was headed and I loved every frustrating second of it.

(And if you're looking for a version of [b:The Girl in Kellers Way|34854227|The Girl in Kellers Way|Megan Goldin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1492132496l/34854227._SY75_.jpg|56092897] but actually good, pick this up instead.)

Semi-predictable but still good!
