"Love has teeth; they bite; the wounds never close. No word, no combination of words, can close those lovebites".

"You always know the truth, because when you cut yourself or someone else with it, you bleed".

I love this story so, so much.
A good-written, and - for me - nostalgic read from when I saw the movie a few years back. And I have to say, the movie did a phenomenal job. This might be the first film-adaptation ever that really translated the book to an equally good movie. This coming-of-age story is unlike others I've read, but in its simplicity a touching story came through.
Highly recommend.
