I am so glad that I happened to find this book at the library. It's full of strange, silly and addictive philosophical conversations that could succesfully keep me awake at night if I let them. A masterpiece, I would call it.

I read this when I was 12 and I liked it from the beginning on. The whole story gripped me and didn't loosen its grip.

i first read this book when i was in elementary school (i think) and i absolutely loved it.
now, i found it again and just knew i had to re-read, even if that meant losing a childhood favorite. worrying about that was senseless because i ended up loving it again.
anna is just a really sweet little girl and her perspective on things is really simple and at the same time complicated which i think is fitting for the world.
the end brought me to tears.
so yeah, i absolutely recommend this book because it's absolutely beautiful

This book was very endearing at the start. Then it turned into a similar reading experience as Sophie's World when I read it at age 16: the thoughts expressed were too simple and only tangentially relevant to me.

for what it was and tried to be: a book about childhood, religion and questioning everything and anything i really liked it
I really liked the ending and the short essay type of format - simplifying and overcomplicating life all at once. I really loved Fynn and Annas vulnerability and the was the interact with the world and people around them.
Out of all the „life lessons“ I only resonated with about half and I think they could have been executed better. I also didn’t find any of them to be revolutionary but I underlined quite a few parts nevertheless.
I loved Annas perspectives on religion, especially institutionalised religion, and despite her child-like naive faith I could resonate a lot with her views on faith (having been raised lutheran christian but now identifying as agnostic).
