Interesting idea, a sequel to one of the earliest Goosebumps books. This time, we get more of the background of the haunted mask. Nothing built upon the original books, but not too bad. The second part of the book, focusing on the continuing plot of Horrorland, gives readers more info on the behind-the-scenes scheming going on. Are there employees of Horrorland out to help the kids? Or is everything in the park out to get them?

Overall, the book is okay. After the first book, "Night of the Living Dummy," it's a small let-down. However, kids who are into horror are sure to enjoy this, so if they ask for it, let them keep reading!
