the most disappointing thing about this book was that 3 pages were ripped out :(

favorite stories: night of the quicken trees, the foresters daughter, close to the waters edge, the parting gift

Wonderful stories, with deep human emotion. There were a couple stories that weren't as good as the others, and one was downright confusing, but overall it is a great collection.

One of my favorite short story authors. The audio version has two narrators, a female and a male.
Superb!

Claire Keegan is just it. She is the moment. She knows what she is doing, and she does it so well. I may have zoned out for 1/2 of the stories, but most grasped my attention from the start to the finish.

My personal favourite was the one with the wedding, chef’s kiss.

If you haven’t read any CK yet, you really should. She gets it.
