A masterpiece entirely. Sheer brilliance. I'd quite forgotten how good Adams is.

4.5 incredibly funny and well written. The way the story begins as a sequence of seemingly unconnected events only to be tied together neatly was thoroughly enjoyable

If you ever doubted Douglas Adams's obsession with technology... It's adorable how in love he is with this era of outdated mediocre computing. There are some great moments in this, comparable to my favorite Hitchhiker's bits, but it takes a lot longer to get there. Unfortunately, about everything else in the story is more interesting than the overarching 'mystery' of how the book opens.

As someone who has grown up on the humour of authors like Neil Gaiman, Chris Riddel and Terry Pratchett, this book felt like coming home. It was a brilliant and relatively short read which I recommend with every fibre of my being

Took me a while to get into - I inexplicably have a hard time with the classic funnyman writers like Adams and Pratchett. It always takes a good chunk of the book til I start enjoying myself. I did have a good time by the end of this, and I can see myself rereading it at some point. I think the humor is well done even though it didn't immediately click with me.
