This book explores 3 different women over 3 different decades. We have Aurelia and heiress from 1914 during world war 1. Then Daisy from 1942 during world war 2 where she’s joins the resistance. Finally was have Babs from 1964 who is exploring her deceased husband past from world war 2. The main focus is on each of their own romances during that time. Each chapter alternates between their POVs so at first it can be confusing to jump between the 3 different story lines. I loved how cohesive the writing was between the 3 authors.

How three women can write a book together that is so well put together is beyond me. Wow!

This is the third book by these 3 authors and I really enjoyed it. It is written in three time periods 1914, 1942 and 1964. Each chapter is by a different protagonist and yet all their stories are woven together in a mystery of family intrigue tied to the Talisman of Courcelles which was said to have been blessed by Joan of Arc and possess powers to protect France as long as the daughter of Courcelles possessed it. The story takes us through The Great War, World War ll and then the mystery of trying to find the mysterious La Fleur a resistance fighter from WWll who turned traitor and disappeared with the talisman. The story has characters from each of the other two novels by these authors, yet it is not a sequel. There is a good amount of intrigue and mystery to keep you guessing until the end and some romance too.

Took me a while to finish this one as I found it a bit slow towards the beginning but midway through, it was a page turner till the very end! Loved the complex characters, the history attached to each of them and how everything intertwines into a beautiful historical-romance-mystery!
