To make it short and sweet... not at all impressed. It was really boring, and I wouldn't say predictable but pretty darn close.

*edit*
OK! I didn't have time to write out a better review... so here it is!

The book was WAY too fast pace. In fact, the whole storyline is within six hours... like beginning to end. I felt like the mystery part of the book (pretty much all of it) was rushed and frankly not very well thought out.
SpoilerAnd the whole thing with Ivy and Matteo suddenly getting together I felt AGAIN like it was just WAY too rushed!!!!
And the ending.... the ending was just a lot of crap and by the end I feel like Karen M. Mcmanus just didn't know how to end it, so we were left with THAT!

*Content warning* death (obviously), drugs, moderate violence (wasn't really described in detail but it was there), language.

Another Karen McManus mystery that was fast-paced, satisfying and suspenseful. It had a lot of plot twists and turns that I enjoyed. This story, like many others of hers, is told from many different points of view, which I like since it gives us a chance to delve into the minds of all the main characters separately. Yet this book was not gasp-worthy.

This was a very easy YA listen - nothing super spectacular and fits with the author’s style.

2.5/3 stars. i continue to pick up KMM books despite never really liking them. i think i hope that the next one will be different from the rest? i don’t know, but each one feels like they could be about the same characters. and the plots never wow me. i mean i was able to predict the entire ending of this one. idk, i love YA thrillers, but i really feel like there are so many AMAZING ones out there that get no hype, while these books continue to rule the genre despite them often being cliche and overdone.
