This was my first Katherine May read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As with any essay collection, I connected more with some chapters than others. I thought the Air section was the strongest set of essays for me. I also very much appreciated the discussion about the struggle to read. I too have been battling that in recent years and as a life-long reader like May herself, it was comforting to hear others are sharing that pain of not being able to focus. I'm slowly getting better but even the length of time it took me to read this collection is telling; a few years ago, I would have read this in two sittings if not faster.
