*sigh* I've only read a few books by Cora and it's very obvious to me I'm not much of a fan of hers. While the premise of her series and books sounds SO GOOD... the execution and delivery is just... Incredibly underwhelming. The final product always feel lacking in many ways especially when it comes to actually feeling anything from the writing. And how can someone take such fascinating characters and drama and it STILL be so boring??

I could not stand the voices. It just didnt fit. I couldnt tell the characters apart. I had issues with the previous books as well but this was bad.

Sooooooo in my review of the previous book I was like oh Remo isn't that bad -- WRONG, so wrong I am a dipsh*t.
The redeeming parts of this book - how long the ending was/just getting to see everyone interact. Seraphina and the other two/seeing Remo interact with those three. Seeing a mafia princess actually take action/stand up. The time jumps/pacing (it was a bit weird but I liked it because it wasn't normal so it added a bit of intrigue to the story).
The bs parts of this book - the constant threat of rape and how the other men that we came to like through their own stories weren't going to step in or speak up or do anything (makes me not like them now either). All the talk of shame and view on women that was actually never addressed/overcome. Remo. Just him. And how they appeased Danilo's family was fucking WEIRD. Also Adamo deserved better and Savio just gets cringier and cringier.
I thought this was a trilogy for some reason but just found out it's like a series on 6??? Idk if I'll continue, I really enjoyed book 2 but book 3 antics were not for me
