This volume and the 5th one were definitely the best. I loved this one because we got Casca’s background and Casca has become my favorite character (besides Gutts)

High point again.
I’ll avoid spoilers but there’s a character we learn more about in this volume that I thought I really didn’t care for, but by the time we’re learning of their past, I really wanted to know more.

I liked getting some of Casca's backstory. I felt bad for her lurking behind plants whileGriffith is flirting! The princess had beautiful hairstyles. I like castle intrigue...I don't trust that short bald minister because he gives me Varys vibes. Why does Casca have such light nipples and lips? I do want her haircut in the flashback section tho.
Guts was really sweet taking care of her and not being weird about her period. Though as a whole it is kinda eyeroll that Casca is tripping up in battle so hard because of her period and the dude berating her for being a girl. I mean I have debilitating cramps sometimes but I would think she would be used to both fighting while menstruating and dealing with harassment in an entirely masculine environment. But that's more the narrations fault, Guts himself was kind and not making a big fuss.
I can't tell if Griffith also likes the princess or if he has a long game in mind. Lol at giving Guts the kama sutra to read. An enjoyable volume, glad to be getting to know Casca a little better.

When I watched the show, this at least was the point where I started absolutely adoring these characters. The Eclipse is going to kill me emotionally all over again
