This is a quick magick book. It’s a cute overview, jumping off or getting someone interested in magick and being a witch and while this book brings up some good points about ethically practicing witchcraft due to other books I have enjoyed and followed along with before coming across this one I just do not find it as informative. Which makes sense because this is shorter than those books. For example she suggested cleanse or charge gems to put them in running water or in sunlight without fully explaining some issues that may come along with doing either of these actions. Some gems fade in direct sunlight, some gems while they may not break down as she had mentioned, but are toxic if they're in water and are not safe to consume or bathe in. Most likely not great to have in your garden or pipes either. So that is something I would like to know before practicing my craft and others to know before they practice theirs.
I don’t think this is or was supposed to be a comprehensive guide to witchcraft, but rather a starting point. That's how I would talk to someone about this book if they were looking for a recommendation.

I don’t have any planets in my fourth house, so the author knew I wouldn’t love this book.

This was a wonderful book about bringing balance into your home, but also to yourself. I highlighted and made a ton of notes. I wish I had the physical version of this, might have to buy that in the future. This was broken down wonderfully and was very "user" and "beginner" friendly and was really about making a space your own.

Some sweet little household rituals and spells. However, despite acknowledging the new age prenchant for cultural appropriation, there are several instances of it throughout the book.

Greatly appreciated the author's section on cultural appropriation, i.e. smudging, palo santo rituals. It's important that more witchy books incorporate this acknowledgement.
