Super disappointed that this didn’t live up to my expectations. The world and characters felt completely undeveloped, too much time was spent on minor details and not enough on important things, and the moments that were supposed to be “highs” just fell flat. Nothing about it felt particularly new; just the same story repeated and not particularly well. 

I also don’t really understand why the MCs are suddenly into each other? Kalian was saying horribly cruel things about how ugly and unattractive she is, and then all of a sudden he’s super attracted to her? I just don’t see it.

This was a highly anticipated book for me. I loved the main character Sky, especially since she feels very original and authentic. I thought the romance was good, but some of the friendships felt a little superficial. I thought the last quarter of the book was too fast-paced, but that’s personal preference. Looking forward to the sequel!
