There were some good backstories shown however the overall volume was hard to follow. It felt chaotic and cluttered with the amount of fights happening.
I have a lot of complaints about the Love Hashira character: her design (as shown on the cover) could have been much more interesting than just an open top and short skirt, her motivations "I joined so I could find a gentleman who would marry me for life" and her powers "Lovely Kitty Shower" "Anguish Inducing Love" "Kitty Paw Love Breeze" and "Wavering Attachment: Messy Nails". Its just so boring when you compare this to all the male Hashiras and their powers.
