A paper voyage through the sea monster-infested waters of Olaus Magnus's 16th-century Carta marina. A fun book with a great layout. The inside of the dustjacket folds out into a reproduction of the map, but since I borrowed my copy from a library there was no jacket. You can find a reproduction online, of course, (and it's great to be able to see a high-res scan) but it would have been neat to have a paper copy to pore over too.
