Never knew much about Janey Godley other than her bangin' Nicola Sturgeon voiceovers, and this isn't really the sort of book that I'd normally go for (I found it while browsing the Wikipedia page for Calton for a reason I can no longer remember). But damn, what a brutal life she's had. Great book though, and I really want to know what happened next.

Content warnings: Pretty much all of them.

Saving my thoughts for book club. What a strong female, what a hard childhood to live through.

Definitely not the usual kind of book I read, but I went into it as a fan of Janey Godley not a fan of books with sad weans on the front cover. Miserable but good.
