I loved this book so much. I cried numerous times. I loved it and I love love and everything about this book. I will read anything by Marjan Kamali.
Only thing I didn't like was the representation of mental illness. It seemed a bit dramatized, but because I do not suffer from the mental illness that the character I'm referring to does, I can't say for sure if it's poor representation.

The most beautiful thing I have read in a really long time. The book feels and hurts like remembering; it will leave you nostalgic for feelings you had forgotten about. Truly an emotional, sophisticated masterpiece.
“The past was always there, lurking in the corners, winking at you when you thought you'd moved on, hanging on to your organs from the inside.”

"Trauma and loss never went away – of course, those memories had always been with her. But now she cried like she hadn’t cried in years, not since the early years after Marigold died. She was grieving all over again for something she thought she had finished with years ago."
Moderate: Child death, Miscarriage, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , and War
