I thought I would enjoy this way more than I did. I just couldn't get into this. I didn't like the style of writing and the story was just lacking. The random unfinished stories thrown into the book were just out of place for me

Tanis was a country girl that found herself defending a Dino named Big AL. When her father caught onto their relationship they were forced to flee. On the run their relationship was tested. Will their forbidden love be able to conquer all?
I absolutely loved the world building in this story. Faust takes us on a crazy ride of life if we had dinos that could communicate and fall in love. There are some definate dark moments as dinos are carnivores and require a lot of food. Tanis and Big Al.have one heck of an adventure but to see if they get their HEA you'll have to join them by reading Wet Hot Allosaurus.
I rated this fantasy romance 5 out of 5 stars. There is an interesting realistic tone that explains things In manner that isn't to far fetched. There is plenty of spice. Who knew Dino lust could be so HOT? If you love exciting romances with couples trying to beat the odds this book is a must read!

My fiance got this for me as a birthday present and I read it during breakfast. This book is probably the weirdest romance book I've read, and I've read a lot of weird romance.
Also I want to point out that the fact the romance is between a human and a dinosaur is not why this book is weird.
First book in my 30 books to read before I'm 30 challenge - Read a weird romance

I really like how in this world Jurassic park was real (I was rereading Jurassic Park when I was gifted this book). I also like how the dinosaurs aren't animals but they also weren't anthropomorphized. My actual problem with the story was the fact that Tanis lost her arm in a way that is a massive plot hole. Like if Big Al actually had feelings for her, he would've healed her arm before fucking her 10 times. I get he's a dinosaur and that they probably think differently then humans, but after reading about Tanis FEEDING her dead arm to her dinosaur lover, I had to convince myself to keep reading. The fact that Big Al's feathers could heal and saved her life after losing said arm doesn't make up for the fact that that whole scenario was absolute clown town.First book in my 30 books to read before I'm 30 challenge - Read a weird romance

what did I just read?
that is *literally* the WORST book I have ever read in my life.
*spoilers*
farm girl has watched dinos her whole life, been in love with them. one night a dino ends up in her barn and they mentally talk for a second, THEN her dad comes out sees her, tells her to move but instead she jumps in front of the dinosaur (whose name is Big Al btw). she gets shot in the arm, they run off, have sėx in a random field. they finish and he says he's hungry and SHE OFFERS HIM HER "DEAD" ARM, he EATS it and then they run to this random human-dino love sanctuary out in the middle of nowhere and then the dinosaur RUNS OFF WITH ANOTHER GIRL. and the book ends.
LIKE WHAT
WHO ENDS A BOOK LIKE THAT, first of all. and SECOND. just- what?!
this was literally so bad.
if I could give it negative stars I would.
this wasn't even entertaining bad, it was just bad. do not recommend. at all. and the writing is terrible too.

Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer by Lola Faust was an entire experience, several actually. I will never be able to get this book out of my head – the good, the bad and the WTF. Everything that the cover promises, the book delivers and oh so much more!
How the author fit so much into one book is beyond me. Make sure that you read the trigger list, despite the hilarity of Canada and pickup trucks being included there are some that you should definitely be aware of and take seriously. This book had some WEIRD stuff in it. This book is not for everyone. But if you go into this thinking, “Hey I like Ice Planet Barbarians, and this is basically that but with Dinos” you would be incorrect. This is the third cousin that is the result of 4 generations of incest to IPB. Go in with your eyes wide open to the triggers and there is a lot of BDSM/erotica with dinos going on.
While the book gets a 3/5 stars overall, the narration gets 10/5 stars! How the narrator kept her voice breathy and sexy while delivering certain parts of this book was a feat worthy of an Oscar. Proof that you can literally listen to anything as long as the narrator is talented, and Katrina Medina is that!
I will never forget this reading experience, which is why despite there being about a hundred “WTF?!” moments it is a 3 star for me. I will give the author a lot of props, she went full send on dino erotica. Honestly, I will probably read her other books in the series because this one was just so shocking that I want to see where else she can go with it. Probably one of the most oddly creative books I have ever read.
