My Thoughts I loved the build between the two main characters, especially when we were introduced to both separately and it built to them meeting, I thought that was done really well. She needs to prove herself and is a strong guard. He's a nobility of questionable character sent on a questionable quest, but neither is what the other expects. I think the author did a really good job at giving enough world building for context but then focused in on the characters

The story is interesting and I am interested to know more about this world. The romance was also good, it was well done and I can see the development in their relationship. Overall I enjoyed the story and look forward to seeing more of the series.
