The beginning is very dark make sure to read the trigger warnings. I thought this would be like most dark romance tropes where the MMC rescues the damsel before she truly experiences anything horrible. That is not the case, this woman suffered. Her "prince" is just as twisted as the villain in this book, maybe more so as he refuses to admit it. I like the character development but didn't like how trusting the female character was given the circumstances. full of spicy scenes.

Utterly shocking that the author did not include a trigger warning list at the beginning of this book - especially with what is touched on. 

I also found the formatting very odd and the writing to be very plain and not exactly detailed. It left me not really caring about the characters.
