I adored this book it was so good. It was like Greek mythology hunger games. It definitely reminded me of six of crows as well. The twists and turns were chefs kiss and all the characters (even athena) were really cool.

3.5. Really liked the premise and plot, especially how fast paced it was. Unfortunately, wasn’t super invested in the characters. I’d still love for this world to be revisited though.

Have you ever read a book that took place in your hometown and was so happy the author got it right, for the most part? Well, nobody is writing a novel that takes in Bayside, but NYC is close enough! And man did she get it right.

You really could walk around in armor, carrying a sword or a spear, and NO ONE would look at you twice. Like eh, just another day in the city!

What I really liked about Lore was the mix of legend and modern culture. The idea of Athena or Artemis running around Central Park is both hilarious and frightening -- but only because they've been known to have quick tempers.

Then you have the main characters -- Lore, Castor, Miles, and Van. I liked each of them for their uniqueness, I loved the fact that Lore was a little hellion. I loved that Castor was the calm to her storm. I loved their interactions, the moments in between the action where they were able to explore that dynamic outside of the fighting. I shipped them from page one.

The actual story itself was well done, and had me on my toes until the end, though I figured out what had happened to Castor way before it was revealed in the end. But that didn't take away from the story at all. And then the twists!! Oh my lanta, there were so many twists, and my heart broke, and my happiness was immense.

I wish I knew what was going to become of everyone at the end. What ate they going to do? How do you integrate yourself into normal life after being raised that way?

Very well done. I'm just sorry it took me so long to read this one because I loved it.
