And we’re back with the next adventure of our favorite magical law enforcement duo! I tried not to rush through this book, but it was so good I couldn’t put it down.

Kit and Lienna’s chemistry continues to heat up, but they aren’t rushing it. They both have some really good development in this book, and everything feels natural based on what we know about them. There’s some honesty that’s needed to come out, and the way it's handled is perfect.

The main story is solid and stands on its own without the other Guild Codex books, but if you’ve read the rest, you will LOVE all the insights and Easter eggs. Plus there are some great cameos I didn’t expect (friends and foes alike), along with a few knowledge bombs that made my day.

The world building and imagery is as good as ever - I always feel like I’m right there with the characters, through every laugh and joke, to every stab, sometimes to a literal heart.

There are so many hilarious moments! This book has more heart, action, and hilarious hijinks than the first two, which says something because they were great. How Captain Blythe ropes them into the secret investigation. The budding bromance between Kit and Zak. Sir Sparkles the Joy Bomb. Darius being…Darius.

Overall, Rogue Ghosts & Other Miscreants was a fantastic read, and I can’t wait for the next book!

Okay, I ended up liking this one much more than book 2. After book 2 I ALMOST didn't read this one, but I'm glad I jumped in. Is it as good as Demonized and Spellbound? Nah, but I liked some of the elements they played with here and I think it explains more why Kit's books will continue to be more police procedurally structured. I think it also opens the door for them looking into the corruption in MPD, but we will see.
I do miss the romance though and hope there is hope for something to blossom.

I will read on and I'm interested to see where this story will go.

I devoured this little gem. I just love Kit and Lienna but you add some Zak… oh my goodness I need to drool a little bit with Kit

4.5 another thoroughly enjoyable follow up to this crossover series. This one redeemed Zack a tad. I really love the character and haters his character arc from one of Tori’s books (I’m reading all 3 in order according to the author’s web site).

I also think Kit and Lienna. They’re great characters with great chemistry. And I like that they are getting to know each other without romance first.

I really liked this addition to Kit’s story. You really get to know Kit, more of what he’s thinking and how he works. Of course, he is witty as ever and this book had me cackling. We get to see more of his serious side as well and it really shows how he works. My favorite part though? Kit’s giant crush on Zak. I love it so much.

Okay, listen.

When I learned our favorite gorgeous druid was in this one, I paid a bit more attention. He deserves all the attention
