Dramatic and chilling. I was kept guessing the entire time! On par with other thrillers like Gone Girl.

not only was this insultingly idiotic, but also corny, cringe and unbearably boring

This started off strongly and that carried well through half the book, but the ending was a letdown. I liked the idea of there being a sanctuary for burnt out people, in the middle of nowhere, in a ridiculously typically cliched Swiss Alpine village. And the peculiarities were fascinating before they were explained. Even when the sanctuary and village were revealed to be experiments the story was going well, but the way everything was resolved felt too rushed and compared to everything that had happened, completely unbelievable. Good, but not quite as great as I was hoping this to be after reading the first chapters.
