I had to give this book five stars. Kathleen Glasgow’s writing perfectly created a picture in my head of everything- the hospital, true grit, charlie’s room. This book left me feeling quite empty.

For people who have someone close to them who is in a dark place. It’s for them to read and get to understand more about mental illness. 
I do not recommend this to mentally ill people. Too brutal and triggering.

(TW: SH) Very good book but if you get triggered easily be careful or just don't read the book, The book covers SH and Addiction. I read this after getting out of the mental hospital and it was hard to get through the book because of the topic, But still this is one of my favorite books.

honestly not my fav book ever and i didn’t cry like i thought i would but i’m glad i got around to reading this book. the beginning is slow paced and took a while to get into but once it started going i found myself wanting to pick the book up and see what happens next in the story.
