Praise for the unconventional HEA! Romance epilogues are generally marriage and babies, it always has and always will be, so this was a surprise.
I felt this one was slightly rushed in comparison to the previous books in the series, so I didn't get a full feel for the hero, although he was super sweet.
A lot of the time we see situations where a hero or heroine has to compromise or make a sacrifice to maintain the status quo of the relationship, but CCJ managed to give us two people with solid boundaries and perspectives on how they wanted their lives to look, and helped bring them together without them having to change themselves or make sacrifices they didn't want to make.
