This was a gripping and tragic narrative. The stories of these women are heartbreaking. I liked how Krouse told the stories of the interviews. Personally, I found the overall narrative to be too inconsistent. It would jump from one thing to another than a third. Parts jumped between the details of the case and Krouse's memoir.

Part memoir and part true crime investigation, this was a really interesting and engaging book! The audiobook is well read, and I'm so glad I picked this one up!

incredible writing but please be advised of the content warnings because it is a very dark read. i didn't know about the CSU football scandal, granted I was 11 when it happened, but reading this made me so sad and angry, especially since this is still happening, even at CSU. did enjoy the easter eggs about colorado #AllHailBlucifer

i really enjoyed the parts of this book that focused on the case but found myself drifting (and strangely a little uncomfortable?) during the parts about the author, especially the parts about her marriage and martial arts. i found it really intriguing in terms of the way football culture can sponsor a crime culture that varies by position.
also, the case being denied and then back on was a little confusing to me.
but overall a pretty good book, just a bit slow at times.
