Iron Daughter was fantastic. I do have a few complaints though, (1)Meghan cried waaaaaaayyyy too much in this book. I'm all for letting out your emotions and I know she went through a lot, but seriously she needed to get a grip and really be like iron. That was really my only complaint. Other than that, it was great! Meghan saved the Nevernever and got with Ash, but also kissed Puck and now she's banished. But hey, she's got her true love and now she's home! Yeah! Book 3! Woooo!

I really liked The Iron King, but I Loved The Iron Daughter! I would say, this series is only going to get better with time, but how much better could it get? In this action packed sequel, Julie Kagawa leads us on a wild chase through the Nevernever. Looking back, there was so much happening in this book, it could have easily become rushed, or even confusing, but Kagawa pulls it all off flawlessly!

Meghan has certainly matured in this book. She doesn't fall for Faerie tricks as easily anymore. She can definitely hold her own now. Except, maybe with Ash. A big chunk of the book revolves around Meghan's feelings for Ash. I must say, in the first book, I didn't feel the connection between the two. I do now. Their feelings for each other have most definitely strengthened. Even though I get it, and I really do, I am completely 100% Team Puck! My Puck was sadly missing from half of this book, but when he showed up, it was Ash who?

Once again, Julie has created an array of captivating side characters. Some were back from the first book, some were friends instead of enemies in this one, and some were brand new. Grim! I really want a Grim for myself. Well, I do have six cats already, and if they could talk they would probably be just as frustrating as Grim. Anyway! The brand new faerie we were introduced to, Leanansidhe, was an excellent edition to the characters. I hope we get to see a lot of her in future books too.

I have read a lot of books about Faerie. A lot. I can honestly say that this is my favorite Faerie realm. The imagery and imagination that Julie Kagawa has put into it, makes it jump right off the page. I can't wait for more!

I liked this book. We get to see more magic and character development. a bit of a slow build and the inevitable love triangle made an appearance but was swiftly squashed. good read overall.

The Iron Daughter is the second novel in the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa and it is absolutely wonderful. I believe this is the second 5 star rating I've doled out so far this year (the initial book in the series, The Iron King, being the first), and for good reason.

The book picks up shortly after the first book finished off. We find Meghan held captive in the Winter Court, unsure of her impending fate.

The beginning is a touch slow, especially in the pages that remind us, the readers, of what had happened in the previous novel. But, the story picks up rather quickly, and you're thrust back into another exciting, dizzying, and stressful adventure throughout the Nevernever, the mortal world, and a new realm called the Between.

This time, not only does Meghan have a mission, but she has the destiny of the entire Nevernever on her shoulders. And each chapter is filled with masterful storytelling, and the same familiar richness as the first novel.

I am so incredibly excited to have found this series, as it has already surpassed all of my expectations. Please read this series, it is such a beautiful, adrenaline fueled adventure.

The Iron Daughter picks up where The Iron King leaves off, Meghan is in the Winter Court. She is learning that it's very different from her father's court. On top of that Ash becomes distant and her feelings become conflicted. Before she knows it though the Iron fey have created many problems and she sets off trying to fix them. Meghan has to make her own decisions and becomes a stronger person.

Wow. If you loved The Iron King, you will be even more amazed with The Iron Daughter. Julie Kagawa is an extremely talented author. I find that some authors struggle making sequels, but not her.

Like many reviewers, I began to respect Meghan in this book. She was a great character in the first book, but in this one she truly becomes her own person. This book helps her grow and I think many will be amazed at exactly how much she does.

The Iron Daughter brings together all the elements that The Iron King did. If you enjoy faery books, some romance, some suspense, and an adventure, read this book!

First of All. I hate myself for taking this long to read it. Life School and Other Deadlines kept getting in my way of this absolute brilliance!! There were so many moments my emotions went all over the place I’m sure I could have fed the Fae with plenty of glamour. I think I enjoyed this one more than the first one. Getting to see more of Ironhorse and what life was like in the Winter Court of Mab and her kingdom of Tir Na Nog was brilliant. (Anyone else have the Celtic Women song Play through your head every time you read Tir Na Nog? No just me? Okay fair enough) but seriously.. my absolute favorite moment came at the end. If you’ve read this and love Ash as much as I or Meghan does then you know what I’m talking about. I SCREAMED, startling quite a few people around me, but oh my god. Now I have to go start the third one!

Following on from the first book in the series where Meghan was only just beginning to learn who she is, what she is, and what she can do, she now finds herself having to fulfil the promise she made to Ash, the Unseelie prince: to return with him to the Winter court as part of the bargain they made. He certainly fulfilled his side of the deal in helping her retrieve her young brother from the evil clutches of Machina, the Iron king, and also nearly died in the process.

Upon returning to the Winter court, Meghan soon comes to realize that the side of Ash she saw on their adventures has vanished. The boy that looked at her like she was the most precious thing in the world at times, now has only cold contempt in he eyes whenever he sees her. Meghan is devastated by this turnabout. If that's not enough to deal with, Ash's brother Rowan and his mother, Queen Mab, are also doing everything they can to make sure Meghan's stay with them is as miserable as possible. The Unseelie thrive off games and torments and consider emotions a terrible weakness. She'd thought Ash was the exception to this rule, now she's coming to think she may have been very wrong about that.

What followed this was another fantastic story, filled with all the wonderful world-building and characterization I enjoyed in the first book, building to an exhilarating and climatic ending. I did feel this one had a rather slow section right in the middle of the book where not enough was happening for me, so it isn't getting the 5 stars that book one received, but it had definitely redeemed itself by the ending.

A few clues about a potential future plot were dropped here and there in this book and I'm eager to see where this will lead. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing how Meghan's personal relationships progress after the big decisions that were made in this book.

All in all another great read. I highly recommend this series.
