É realmente uma narrativa de segundas oportunidades, de um difícil encontro consigo mesmo e com o que a vida pode oferecer após uma separação abrupta e dolorosa. Gostei muito.

It was a nice change of pace to read a book that was a "start again romance" for a woman who wasn't mid 20's. The fact that Thea was 45 and Edward 47 was refreshing. She was blunt and realistic, sometimes to a fault, but so open to friendships. She was refreshing with just wanting honesty in her life after the divorce. Edward was odd beyond belief but also just the perfect counterpart to Thea. Overall, a cute read and loved that the characters were in their 40s.

I don't normally read romance novels, but I love Scotland and always enjoy books that take place in bookstores. Parts of it had me rolling my eyes, but overall it was fine.

Recently separated Thea learns that she has inherited a cottage in Scotland so goes there with the intent to sell it. But as she makes new friends and takes a temporary job in a bookshop, she decides that she has found her new home.
This book is definitely a romance novel but very different. Thea is blunt and honest making the book funny and enjoyable to read. The characters are great and well developed. An enjoyable read!
