I liked the premise and build up of this story, but felt like the ending was a let down because I figured it out pretty quickly when the culprit was first introduced. I’m also not sure how I feel about the romanticizing of psychopathy.

I wanted more twists than this one had to offer. While I was highly intrigued through much of the read, as we got closer and closer to the climax, they started to lose me.

I like the concept of a group of psychopaths needing to come together to find a serial killer before they become the next victim, but I think the actual killer could have been uncovered in a more interesting way. One more twist that the reader never sees coming. Someone maybe hinted at but never really considered.

Also, I hated that Chloe murdered Will and completely got away with it. I understand she is a psychopath and that this was her plan the entire time, but why does NO ONE care? Will - while a horrible person that deserved jail time - was a college student that didn't deserve to die. And while the whole book is kind of a lead up to his murder it just went so smoothly that it was almost boring. How does one make a central revenge murder plot like that one boring?!?

Overall, it's an okay read, but not one I'll be rushing out to tell everyone about!

While the execution was somewhat uneven, I was drawn in by the complexity of the characters (what really makes a person act like what we stereotypically think of as a "psycho"?).

The ending was overdone for my taste (too many red herrings and an overly dramatic climactic scene) and some threads of the plot are left unresolved, but I appreciated the journey throughout the book of assessing what it really looks like to have psychopathy, and how much impact that has on a person's moral choices.

i really enjoyed the characters and seeing the world/plot events from their perspectives (as people who don't feel emotions like others do). however, i thought the ending was rushed and while i can see the motive of the killer, it would have been way more interesting if they were included in the book more
