This is a great general book for reference during a first pregnancy. This edition is an improvement upon the 3rd ed. There aren't many differences, but this book does address some more modern concerns.

One week until this baby is out of me! Hooray!! I'm less concerned at this point about the actual delivery, and more concerned that I will have a newborn to care for... stress levels are at a million. Time to pull out the parenting books.

Anyone who knows me, knows that the second I found out I was pregnant I ordered a stack of pregnancy books, and have spent the last nine months making my way through them. What to Expect When You're Expecting is a classic. And for obvious reasons. Every possible piece of information is in this book - and if its not, its on their website.

DNF before the baby came. Solid, popular for a reason.

I did not finish it. I have read so many pregnancy books and this one has a ton of info but it was too monotonous for me. I prefer to laugh through all the pregnancy realities.

I would not recommend this book to pregnant friends. There are so many better options that don't treat pregnancy like a disease.
