Such a great continuation
This was such a good continuation of the series! I love that the girls stuck together and really took friendship to the max in hard times. They never left No when she stone even though they were in danger. I really like that counselor Jamie, Joan , Juanita , Jen was brought into the group and involved with the events in this volume. I also like that they brought Greek mythology into the mix. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

NOW I see why "Nimona" got all this hype when it came out. It's the same author as Lumberjanes. Lumberjanes is another book that I just do not get why people like so much.
It's trying to be funny, but I don't think it made me laugh once. It's got queer characters, which is cool, but I guess I need a bit more than JUST THAT to like it.
Based on what the comic is about, I thought I would love it. Girls camping in the woods and mysterious things happen.... But the story doesn't make much sense - hopping all over the place - and I don't really get any of the characters. It's kind of like being thrown into someone's group of friends and not getting any of their inside jokes. I'm sure the author and her friends and her long-time web comic fans get them all - I just don't.
There's also a sort of !Friendship! theme which is nice? I guess? Like, yeah, good lesson to teach tweens? But it seems very My Little Ponies ripped to me, so it's been done, and in general, I don't really get why that in itself makes something amazing.

"What the Annie Smith Peck just happened?"
A much improved story happened, Jo!
Now I'm hooked. These campers are just the right mix of Little Women + Indiana Jones + Greek Mythology. Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady-Types needs to be a real place.
