I swear I started crying. It moved me. It reaches kids and adults to never judge a book by its cover. Sometimes, we need a reminder to be kind to one another and this book did just that. It's a precious little book.

"People can change the way they see. If they do, they'll see that I'm wonder and they'll see that they're wonders too."

"We are all wonders!"

"Look with kindness and you will always find wonder."

Way too short and lacking in heart for a children's book.

Winner of the Goodreads Choice Awards for Best Picture Books, this read a-loud is a great simplified version of the chapter book Wonder. This book is simple and has amazing illustrations. Readers can easily learn about acceptance of one another and teachers can use this book as a guide to a help children with their social-emotional development. This book is appropriate for grades second and third and in class, students can write down what makes them a wonder or what makes them special. A class book or a collage can be made with the students to show unity in the class and how together, we are all wonders.

This book was PHENOMENAL. It’s so so important to remember that we’re all wonders!

This is the toddler version of this story; which has a few different adaptations, including a movie.

The toddler (picture book) version is very vague about the kid. He just "looks different" (drawn with one eye) which keeps it universal but possibly less useful, depending on how old the reader is.

The moral of the story is kindness. I'd say it's best for 2-3 year olds.

I was going to give it 4/5 stars, but changed it to 5/5 because it's translated to Spanish, which I'm always on the lookout for

Such a sweet story in plain language, Kindness Begins with Me. I read this to my story hour group. Hoping they took away this meaning with their kindness craft. Everyone is different and if we try to teach acceptance early on maybe, just maybe, things might change!

This is the picture book version of the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio! The picture book was fantastic! I hope it wins for the 2017 Goodreads' awards for Best Picture Book!
