I wasn’t a huge fan of the author writing. Came here for the grumpy sunshine trope. Was immediately turned off by the writing but I powered through because I saw a spoiler about the fucking cucumber. and it was extremely weird, not even a huge part of this narrative.

I enjoyed Goldie and Atticus’ dynamic. They normalized a lot of real things that happen in the bedroom.

Atticus and Goldie’s love story is definitely one to be jealous of! It’s one of trust, ups and downs, and security! And honestly Daisy is one of the few authors that can make me cry and really relate to some parts or all of the parts in her stories! Her characters are relatable, and I see myself in a few of them which is why I think I get so easily attached!

I just love the grumpy-sunshine, the man doesn’t feel he deserves love type, and what do you know? Daisy has given me just that and made me fall so In love with him! His name is Atticus and ladies he is as dreamy as they come — swoon! Before you read this, definitely look into the Wild One, you’ll get introduced to Atti and Goldie through Beck and Beau’s story and it makes Atti and Goldie’s story that much more perfect! Great job Daisy! Can’t wait for the third installment of the Wrench Kings!

From the glimpses we had in The Wild One, I knew Atticus Winters’ and Goldie Berry’s story was going to be a good one. It was so much more emotional than I was expecting, however.

They each are carrying a metric fcukton of emotional baggage. Atti is still haunted by the past and the girl he couldn’t save. While Goldie has been taught to measure her worth on the scales and by the designer she wears.

Their HEA was definitely hard fought and didn’t take the path I expected. And for that, I loved their story so much more. And even though I’m not emphasizing the smex, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there. There was sexual tension right from the start and it escalated with each page. When they finally gave in, it. was. explosive. And deliciously dirty.

I’ve got to give a shout out to Harry and Edie who are a-mazing! I doubt we’ll be getting their book. I would FLOVE to see them pop up in the future though. Maybe a Sunday dinner with the Wrench Kings crew?

Atti is just so grumpy but a total softie for Goldie and I LOVED IT

At first, it was a rather difficult book for me, because of Goldie's story and everything she went through (please check CW), but it was worth it.
I loved how everything was handled and how Atticus and Goldie's relationship developed. One of my favorites of the year 💜💜
