It's like Are You Afraid of the Dark but Disney style. Vampire, carnival ghosts, and the magic of old fashioned celluloid are all featured in book 2. It's still a loosely connected series of horror stories for children with nods to Disney's Haunted Mansion, but I liked this collection better than the last. It's like the writers are finding their footing with what the series is and what they want to do with it moving forward. I thought our ghostly narrator had much more presence and was better utilized in this one. The Haunted Mansion references are fun for fans of the ride but don't detract for those who just want a good intro to supernatural chills for kids.
