Too much drama. They seem like they're in their 30s/40s. No one acts like they're damn 25 year-olds.
Plot: the book starts. Then it's a bunch of crying and angst, and then the conclusion. You do get to know a little bit about Robert and why he's such a whiner, though. His character is much too fantasy-like, but I guess the author is keeping him for a later book romance. Brody is such whatever.

Sweet finish, short. The 3rd POV threw me a little.

Perfect small town romance. Many unexpected curves, secrets, which made this book an even better read. I devoured this in a day!

I am a bit disappointed by the triangle with Magnolia, Brody and Robert at the end of the book. It is however, refreshing to see the two guys being on good terms and not locked in a toxic relationship.

I was secretly rooting for Robert, even though Brody was perfect for Magnolia.

I found Robert desperate and annoying. I really wanted to like him but I just couldn't. Even though I knew he was going through a lot. But his actions made sense for his character. I wish we saw Brody's mom's reaction to being a grandmother and I wish we saw them meet for the first time and them explaining that she was the grandmother and Brody was the father. They mentioned that they'd tell her when Bridget woke up from a nap but it was never shown "on camera". I also wish we would have seen her call Brody dad for the first time. I also wish we saw Brody's reaction to the test results. He talks about how he felt but I wish we could have been there at the moment he found out to really feel his relief. There were too many crucial moments that happened off screen that I wish we could have got. Like even the proposal and the new pregnancy announcement.. still a really good book. Just a lot I wish we got but didn't.

I wanted to like this book so much, I did have mixed feelings about the first book, but the ending got me curious and hopefull and it didn't work out of me. I just think that this bookseries was somthing different than i wanted/expected or was in the mood for, and that all on me. The writing was good, the fun moments were fun and the ending was pretty good, the thing i just hated was the whole love triangle stuff, and I'm usellay not that picky about love triangles, they are in ever book you read and i don't hate them, but this one just rubed me the wrong way. Its probably because i really didn't like Robert, i know its all about them not being perfect and making mistakes and just going trough life the best way they can, but he just wasn't doing it for me. We get some background info on him and why he broke up wiht her, the whole baby daddy thing, his mother and yeah he is having a rough time and at the end he turnes around but the book was too draggy for me, it took to long for everything to fall into place, and it was obviouse who she was going to choose and who was the daddy.

Anyway, I didn't completly hated it, somthing kept me reading and wouldn't let me put it down. I like how she was so open about her feelings, how she talked things out with Brody and didn't keep that much secrets. The cute moments with them was fun, the ending was very cute to see them as a new family and i;m glad robert still stayed friends with everyone. Apperantly Asher, a side character is getting his own book and i'm not sure if i'm going to read it. Maybe if i read more into it and knew what to expect before starting it.

Rating: 2.5
Rating overall series: 2.8 /3.0 stars.

4/5 Stars! Let me start off by saying that my typical read in the romance department leans towards something dark, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this sweeter side small town romance. The sequel to Tequila Rose, this book follows the story of Brody and Magnolia, but Robert gets his voice in this book. A history that rivals the short history Brody has with Magnolia, Robert's history is longer and deeper and set in stone with promises he has made a lifetime ago. He doesn't want to lose Magnolia, and Magnolia is afraid to lose him too. These two men must navigate how to continue their relationship with Magnolia as they compete for her heart, and Magnolia must search her heart for answers that will be tough to answer. Torn in two with two very different types of love, Magnolia must choose what is not only best for her daughter, but what is best for herself.

This romance was sweet and had all the feels of a true small town romance. Robert's side of the story elevated this series for me personally. It had me questioning who I was rooting for, and I felt sympathy I didn't expect to feel for this character. I loved this sequel even more than I liked the first book. I listened to the audio book, and was fairly impressed with the narrators. They seemed to have fallen naturally into their character's roles. I could have used a touch more spice personally, and I would have loved there to be a bit more of an urgency in the climax, but through and through this book was a very touching sweet romance.

This book is good for readers who enjoy a small town romance, a second chance romance, or a love triangle. As this is a duet I also highly recommend reading the first book before hand. It is charming and sweet read, and was great to break up some of the tear jerking heaviness I have been reading recently.
