This book is such a quick and enjoyable read. Whimsical horror at its finest. I was spooked a bit reading this as an adult! The writing is superb and it was perfect for the Halloween season.

I love the vibe of this book.  The horror setting and plot were done really well.  While it’s not as creepy as the film it definitely lives up to its hype.  This is one of the few books where the movie is a good representation of the book.

Neil Gaiman does fast paced adventure really well, and this book sets such a spooky mood. The themes of bugs and rats and things that invade your home make for a legitimately scary story. Dave McKeans terrifying illustrations help too.
