Bassey beautifully constructs these facets of her life into essays that anyone can connect with. The assembled essays bring you on a journey that pulls at you heart.

This book is raw and emotional but so incredibly beautiful. I had to take breaks because of how heartbreaking parts were but Basset Ikpi is an incredible writer and I absolutely loved this book.

I was looking for books from folks who also have Bipolar Disorder because I wanted more of an understanding of it from an outside perspective. And wow this book delivered on that! I highlighted so many passages that made me feel seen. The way she talked about depression and wanting to be “normal” and not knowing what that looked like hit home. I see myself coming back to this when times get tough.
