Although very strongly situated within the French context, this provided hope and power and new arguments across borders at a time where mainstream politics does not necessarily provide this strong and passionate a defense of equality, liberty and diversity. Unapologetic in it's defense of Muslims and all minorites, unyielding against so called 'reasonable' but harshly discriminatory arguments and showcasing that islamofobia does not just endanger our Muslim fellow citizens, but also endangers the very beliefs of democracy, liberty and community which France and many other countries claim to have been built on.
