Being a cat lover, the idea of 13 cats really appealed to me ! The story starts at the death of Edith Penn, a said to be witch. From here the plot unravels to follow Rebecca, a reporter who is fishing for a story. And of course, what happens to those 13 black cats as they slink away into the darkness after being rescued?

A great mix of witchcraft with a little bit of gory details included. I loved the way the author tells the story of Edith’s life throughout the book.  The 2 time lines were not jarring and flowed really well.  The different characters/ families  were well thought out and tied into together for the finale of the book.  Id definitely like to see this as an audio book in the future!
