The character arcs in this are just *chefs kiss* and don't even get me started on the spice.....the RESTAURANT scene?! I thought I was going to have to hide myself away with it for hours 😂
While it's a slow burn, it's done SO well and when we finally get there it is beautiful.
Onto number 3!

“Sometimes you don’t have to weigh every single pro and con. Sometimes the answer is the one that just feels right.”
I've been looking forward to Nash's story ever since I've finished the TWNGO because you really can't help but also see and wish for his happiness after Naomi fell hard for Knox. I didn't even notice that they were going to put Angelina and Nash together until after I actually read the back cover of the book. It's actually such a sight to see how Nash would fall in love with a very independent girl because he is a cop and he really wants people to need and depend on him.
To be honest, it was such a slow-burn kind of book. It took so long for the both of them to even have their first kiss. I know it was all because Lina was not the relationship type of girl and Nash was currently healing from his "wounds" (the dark ones, not the physical ones), but it was such a torture for me, as a reader, to just see them both compatible together but haven't really connected. The back and forth in the first half as well was scrutinizing it was so unnecessary - where Nash was mad at Lina for her job that is connected to Duncan Hugo and all. But really, it's just Nash being an idiot for not understanding that Lina was just doing her job. Although the soccer match scene was a memorable one where Sloane really was the comedic relief in all the pairs (now I'm excited to get inside her head).
But when that first kiss and everything afterwards happened after the first half of the book, I was so invested already. More so when I notice that there was no third act break up! A pet-peeve of mine when I read romance because more often than not, third act break ups were unnecessary and can be simply solved through talking.
@ Lucy Score, was the tattoo butt thing really necessary? I get that Nash has one amazing ass but was it really necessary for him to get his tattoo there? For me, as a girl who have several tattoos, it's not really that romantic. I'd rather it be some place where it can easily been seen so people would know how important their date is.

Everyone was alive and breathing. Everyone but me. I was just pretending.
“It’s the Morgan way. Why shine the light on things when you can pretend they don’t exist?”
Whenever you’re close, everything is better. The closer you are, the easier I breathe, the less I feel like life is just a never-ending pour of lemon juice into an open wound that won’t heal.
“You’re not responsible for how you were brought up, but you are responsible for your actions and reactions once you’re an adult.”
“Tell me what you need to feel safe with this. With us.”
