After the first book ended, I wanted to jump into the next one because I liked their relationship when they were younger. I wanted to see if we ever get back together or if she ends up with just one of them. But, of course, they were supposed to make up at some point since it was the whole premise. Plus, I've never read a reverse harem book, so I was curious how all of this would work out. I think this is one and the next one is my favorite in the series because we got to see the drama unfold between Pen and all four of the Breakers; we got more insight into David and Pen's deal, and then still got some of the dancing elements since at the root of the story was their love for dance. But the closer she got to the Breakers, I think we kind of lost her spunk. I like that she started mending her relationships with them, but I felt like she began to rely on them more and more, causing her to lose that fight a little bit. But they group still had a lot going on in this book, and it was interesting to see it play out. By the end of this one, I was determined to see the story play out because I really loved this book and the whole reverse harem thing. This was the first series I read with a reverse harem, and this one has a lot more spice than the first book.

It’s something that you can’t stop looking at

I’m not the biggest fan but I am someone who will read something to get a conclusion or to complete something. I like the plot but the writing style isn’t the best for me. The main character/why choose dynamic could be more natural and better paced. (I like a slow burn and more character association). I think it’s hard to write about a poly relationship and the author has made a good start. I’m not a fan of the brother aspect (like them calling themselves brothers that’s my personal ick). Definitely a book I have to pause and come back and reread since some plots don’t blend as smoothly.

this is pure art, it touched me, made me feel and regain my love for dance that I almost lost. these beautifully broken characters are a comfort to read and I’m filled with love for them
