This was quite fun.

I enjoyed the storyline and this was nice to get the mystery solved.

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved getting more of Dominic this time and watching everything come together and all about family. Sometimes it’s not easy to remember that but this story is great for family is what matters, not just blood ties or the easy connections, but all of it and the connections that can be built and love that can be found within it if you just allow it. I loved watching these two come together and find love while in the process of healing a family hurt that was many years in the process/past. I was engaged from the start and loved watching Mack and Cristoff find each other again years later and the way that they supported each other through this story. It was easy to read and I’m looking forward to the next spinoff to get Gian’s story.

I was looking forward to this third book in the series and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a fake engagement story?

There are many things I liked about this one, from the characters and the fact they come from different worlds, a more unusual job for our heroine, chemistry and great banter and Italy, one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

While hyped up about everything, many parts of the story just felt flat or not exactly what I was expecting. I mean, rich family, Inheritance and many hidden secrets, all the drama and danger that comes with it, everything altogether, unfortunately, didn’t add up for my expectations, it just felt like a very steamy and tame love story.

I recommend it for romance lovers of nice and quick reads.

The Secret One is the third book in the Corisi Billionaires series. This book is told from dual points of view from Christof and McKenna.

Christof and McKenna met 7 years ago at random at a bar. Christof doesn't remember much from the night as he was drunk. 7 years later and there is chance meeting when Christof's car breaks down and McKenna sees him on the side of the road and offers to help with his car since she owns a car repair shop. McKenna isn't sure what to think of their new friendship and keeps her business a secret at first as men always wants to change what she does.

As their friendship grows Christof has some family issues and his parents asked him to go to Italy and try to resolve it. They suggest Christof take McKenna as his fake fiancée to try to help ease some of the drama in the family. McKenna agrees and as they are in Italy they both start to have feelings for each other.

Will their fake relationship turn into more? Will Kristoff resolve his family issues? Will Kristoff want McKenna to change who she is?

I really enjoyed this story as well as the other books in this series.

Oh, the secrets!!!
This was a great read - full of family drama, high emotion, and so many "easter eggs" for those who've enjoyed other series by Ruth Cardello! Lots of fun!
