Molly lives in a horrible orphanage in England and dreams of greatness. When she finds a hypnotism book, she learns to hypnotize her way out of the orphanage and to New York City. While the reader did a good job on the voices, I found Molly as a character rather unappealing.

This book is still as fun as I remember it from when I was a kid. This narrator is fantastic too. She’s really good at switching from proper English to New Yorker.
