Cute, queer, mixed faith, fake dating trope, high school rom-com - a wholesome, heart warming read.

I really enjoyed Adiba Jaigirdar's debut novel, The Henna Wars, and I enjoyed this even more! I love the fake dating trope so much, this book was exactly what I wanted to read right now. I love that Adiba Jaigirdar's books always perfectly blend lighthearted romantic moments with deeper explorations of things like biphobia, racism, and family in Bengali communities.

It was okay ig? I’m probably never gonna think of it again. I feel like it could’ve have so much more potential. Like with ishu and her mom. And also with Hanis sister and her parents. I would recommend it if you just like zero drama and just a cute book. But the thing is that it wasn’t even cute. Oh gosh. Bye bitchess
