I started this series without reading anything about it but the blurb and.. I'm digging it. it's connected with another series I want to read so... let's see how it continues... so far I'm liking it.

this book was about Vin and Mia or Mila or Mina is it? (I totally forgot her name!) and... is a good start. I was a bit confused with some bits that made references of previous books in other series but it was an entertaining book.

This story was full of feel. I love these tropes where damaged souls who find redemption through love.
Mia was terrorized by her own father whereas Vin had been emotionally damaged by his parents. First they learned to trust, then they worked on forgiving themselves and that led to love.

This book was written so well that I felt their anguish as well as their struggle for independence. Sloane Kennedy is quickly becoming a go-author. This book was another winner.

Good start to a new series

This is the first book in a new series which is a spin off from the escort series through Dom. This book revolves around Dom's older brother and the woman who helped rescue Riley in Book 3 of the escort series, Mia.

Once again we have lead characters with lots of emotional baggage. The suspense element of this book is referenced and hover in the background but the part dealing with it is actually rather minor except in the way it clearly advances an upcoming storyline.

Book as good just not as emotionally engaging as the three previous books.
