I really liked the series. I loved the characters, especially Kabru and Laios. All other characters do hold a special place in my heart though such as Chilchuck and Marcille as well as the other adventurers.
The story isn't too big on world building when it comes to Laios team but cut to Kabrus team, it has that (or tries to establish it). This whole series is pretty much a DnD type of story which suits me fine. What threw me off was the fact that Marcille was a Half breed and all of a sudden her true goal was to make everyone's life span the same which felt left field to me but I'm looking to pass that.
Overall, I enjoyed the Series and I'm sad that it's finished but atleast I can reread them or (read fanfics of them đ).

5 âď¸ series!!
The series started out as lighthearted but the tone shifted to more dark while still staying very funny. I love the characters so much, and you can tell how much Ryoko Kui also loves them.
The series has really interesting worldbuilding. The fantasy world feels familiar (especially to a dnd nerd like myself) but still has surprises I havenât seen in other media, like some fun new interpretations of classic monsters.
The creepy horror elements suited the story really well. It got pretty weird towardâs the end, I mostly loved it but sometimes didnât fully understand what was happening.
Love that there was one whole volume after the final battle so the ending didnât feel rushed.
I love this story so much and the pretty artstyle. I will miss Dungeon Meshi.
